Motivation can work in different ways for different people.
For a girl with cerebral palsy, it was a moment of immense happiness.
Briella naïf, five with cerebral palsy who was under therapy for learning to walk was given a puppy.
Briella was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was just 21 months old. It affected her balance, leg coordination ad movement.
With years of physical and speech therapies for overcoming her condition, this Christmas Briella was paid off for her efforts by her parents.
On Christmas, her parents decided to give her a little puppy as a motivation. With physical therapy, Briella has got strength in her legs that is enabling her to walk independently.
With the help of speech therapy, Briella can form words, but she uses American sign language as her way of communication. Briella loves pets, and she has been asking for a pet dog from her mother.
Watching her taking the first step during a toy dog therapy, her mother decided now is the time to gift Briella with a pet dog.
Her parents believe that a dog can help Briella in her therapy and make the recovery faster.
On November, 20, the family brought the eight-week-old Pomsky, Mieka and as expected Briella was overwhelmed after getting a real pet dog.
Till the family got home Briella was laughing, and giggling at every movement of Mieka.
She just adores her pet dog and now seemingly cannot live without. Her parents said that Briella needed a companion and dog is the perfect support she can get right now.
Briella has shown tremendous improvement through toy dog therapy and getting a real dog will only help her get better soon.
Though Briella is not completely recovered, she is making her baby steps towards it. Today, Briella is a happy 5-year-old girl who does not let cerebral palsy affect her normal life.
