We all agree on how stressful it is to get prepared for the school photo day.
The most arduous task is to choose the ‘perfect’ outfit or at least one that is close to being perfect, that’s why it’s totally normal that parents have to take this task upon themselves.
However, when Laura Pyle, a Pennsylvania mom who believes in giving more independence to children, allowed her daughter and son to choose their outfits themselves, she had never imagined what happened next.
“I just thought I was allowing my daughter to wear her favorite dress for school pictures,” Pyle told Bored Panda.
Pyle’s young daughter Addison selected her favorite green dress and the mother-of-two didn’t hesitate to let her don what she wanted, completely forgetting that photographers use green screen during the photo shoot.
“I honestly never gave it a second thought. When I was in school the photographer brought each backdrop with them. Had I been thinking, I probably should have realized there’s no way a photographer could carry this many backdrops. But mom brain kicked in.”
Pyle realized her mistake only after she had received the previews of Addison’s photos. However, instead of getting upset about the ‘ruined’ images, the mother burst into laughter before screenshotting the received proofs.
“I immediately dropped my phone, laughing hysterically. The photos are absolutely hilarious. Because the dress was sleeveless, I think the proofs turned out perfectly. She isn’t just a floating head, but her dress blends so well.”
Pyle shared the hilarious experience in a Facebook post, writing: “Y’all. THIS IS THE BEST F*** UP I HAVE EVER DONE.
“I let Addison pick her dress out for picture day. She picked a sparky green dress. I didn’t think anything of it… until I received the email with her proofs in it.
“THERE ARE 87 STYLES. I NEED THEM ALL. I originally ordered the purple.”
