As anyone working in the service industry understands, making a living out of one job alone is nearly impossible.
On top of that, these people also have to deal with a load of difficult customers whose expectations and demands are unlikely ever to be met.
Waiters and waitresses, more than anyone else, are put under pressure and tested when a problematic person appears. They are the ones who need to find a way to deal with the customer’s attitude and calm them down while remaining kind – which is never easy!
Despite these issues, some of them feel content with their work and enjoy it for most of the time. After all, they are doing a great job that not many people could handle.
Usually, the customers are friendly and understanding. Nevertheless, every server who has worked long enough knows that some have zero good intentions.
One waitress, also known as lustfulspiritanimal on Reddit, has also encountered her share of self-centered people who tried to diminish her work and make her feel smaller. Since one of her stories was especially intriguing and took place while she was on her shift during Valentine’s day, she decided to reach out to the Reddit sub-community Tales From Your Server and share her story.
While her story is definitely one that no service industry worker wants to go through, the waitress is happy that the story had a good ending.
