13-Year-Old Girl Trampled By A Stampede Of Coronavirus Panic Shoppers


A young girl was trampled by a stampede of coronavirus panic shoppers who were rushing across a Coles supermarket in order to get their hands on toilet paper.

As The West Australian reported, the mother of the 13-year-old girl got separated from her daughter as soon as the main door opened and shoppers rushed inside the store located in Baldivis, Perth.

Shortly after the wheelchair-bound mum lost sight of her daughter, she came across the 13-year-old who was crying on the floor.

“She was pushed to the ground and then stood on by adults who had no care in the world for a child on the floor,” the mother explained.

“People were walking over her while she was crying on the ground just to get what they wanted.”

As the upset mother added, she had to take her daughter to the hospital for a scan because her knee was injured during the incident.

“I am shocked at how people were acting this morning even before the doors opened. People pushing, people telling people to get back in line,” she added.

Following a number of incidents caused by panic-buying in Australia, Coles has announced they would be taking extra measures to ensure the safety of the shoppers.

“Coles takes the wellbeing of our customers and team members seriously and we are constantly reviewing security measures to manage the unprecedented levels of demand we are seeing in our stores,” a spokesperson insisted.
