Many of us know exactly how it feels like to sneak back inside the house without waking others up.
Success rates depend on how drunk or tired you were – but one girl decided to be like Santa by going back in through the chimney! Ho ho ho!
According to reports, the teen had stayed out late with her friend and came up with a great idea on how to get inside. Her plan was not successful though as firemen found her stuck at the bottom of the sealed off chimney breast.
The 17-year-old came back with her friend Yasmeen and found her home completely locked up.
“She thought about going down the chimney. I didn’t know it was blocked in the bottom. I never thought it was blocked on the bottom, so she went down and she started freaking out,” Yasmeen said to Fox 10.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they saw the panicking teen stuck in the chimney.
“She was, like, ‘call 911!’ She couldn’t breathe,” Yasmeen shared.
The rescue team erected a huge tripod structure above the chimney and attached a hoist to the center so they could lift the girl up.
It took around 40 minutes to finally take her out of the structure. Firemen then sent her to hospital to check for possible injuries.
Like other parents, the teen’s parents also did not find the situation funny. “They were so mad. Really mad,” Yasmeen said.
But one internet user commented: “Just watching the news and they were talking about this teen who got locked out of the house, so decided to get in through the chimney. I give up.”
Another wrote: “Good luck living that one down kid.”
A third added: “People still do these type of things??”
