Girl Passed Away During Her Sleep After Her Charging Phone Exploded


A schoolgirl has tragically passed away in her sleep after her charging phone exploded and caused her to suffer severe injuries to the head.

14-year-old Alua Asetkyzy Abzalbek from Bastobe, Kazakhstan, was sleeping peacefully when her phone exploded and killed her on the spot.

According to the reports, the girl was charging her phone right beneath her pillow as she fell asleep listening to her favorite songs.

The following morning, the girl was found lifeless with severe injuries to her head and an exploded phone battery by her side.

As the police and forensics explained, the gadget was charging while the girl was sleeping and listening to the music. After overheating, it exploded and caused severe injuries to the girl’s head due to her proximity.

“I still cannot believe it. You were the best. We have been together since childhood. It is so hard for me without you. I miss you so much. You have left me forever,” the teen’s best friend wrote in a tribute following the accident.

While it is not common for devices such as phones to explode, this isn’t the first time an incident of this type occurred.

Earlier this year, a man suffered severe burns because his phone exploded while it was in his pocket. The man frantically jumped off his chair and attempted to remove the gadget while the smoke was coming from his pocket.

In another incident, a teen boy left his tablet charging on the bed after watching movies for the entire evening. The device overheated, causing the bedsheet to catch on fire and trigger the smoke alarm – the boy’s parents.
