A young girl shared the horrifying moment a ‘creepy’ man chased her while she was walking home from school.
9-year-old Bella Boyer said she was on her way home when a man suddenly jumped from bushes and approached her.
In an interview with 7NEWS Perth, Bella recalled: “He had this creepy smile on his face and said ‘come here.’”
The schoolgirl said the man tried to follow her down the street and she was ‘really scared.’
“He was wearing all black clothes, black boots, black hair and a big beard,” Bella said.
The girl’s mother, Nicole Boyer, said she felt right away that something was wrong when her daughter returned home.
Her daughter said that there was a man ‘trying to get her.’
Ms. Boyer said that the incident was ‘every parent’s worst nightmare.’
A spokesperson for WA Police said to Daily Mail Australia that officers are conducting patrol in the area. However, no man matching the description was found and other residents had not noticed any suspicious activities.
The 9-year-old girl warned other residents to avoid the man in case they see him and to ‘stay safe.’
One person commented: “Little people deserve the BEST protection the Government can afford.
Unfortunately, these days they need to be escorted to and from school by adults until they are of an age when they travel in groups as teenagers. It has become a sad old world with these predators around.”
