Little Girl Looked Down Concrete Hole and Immediately Ran To Get Her Dad

Six year old Cara was playing outside one day when she spotted a large concrete hole in the ground.

Like any other kid, Cara walked over to the hole to find out what was down there.

Peering through the wooden planks that covered it, Cara saw something awful. Panicking, she immediately got up and ran home to get her father.

Cara and her father Kenny ran back to the spot and immediately started throwing the planks off of the hole. What they uncovered: a dying dog, stuck at the bottom.

What Cara thought she saw turned out to be true – a poor, emaciated boxer was sitting at the bottom of what seemed to be a concrete grave.

Luckily, the two were able to safely pull this poor dog from its grave. The boxer was in awful condition and nearly starved to death. And though its previous owner had obviously left it to die, Kenny and Cara were not about to give up on this beautiful animal.

“We are a family of animal lovers and have a dog ourselves, so we took her home with us and gave her a tin of food, which she gulped down in under 15 seconds,” Kenny said.

“We kept her at home that night and let her sleep on the sofa because she was clearly exhausted and distressed. In fact, my 15-year-old son Ethan slept on the other sofa to help her settle before we contacted the Rainbow Centre.”

The Rainbow Centre specializes in finding new homes for abandoned pets. With the help of the Centre, Bella (the boxer’s new name) was rehabilitated back to good health.

But during her treatment, the vet discovered that Bella was completely blind. They also learned that Bella had an infection in her uterus, likely caused by over breeding.

It appeared that her previous owner was mercilessly forcing her to breed and then threw her out to die when she could no longer produce puppies.

Despite the horrible way Bella had been treated, she was still a warm, loving, and affectionate dog. The Rainbow Centre posted Bella’s story online and it just one day it was read by over 450,000 people.

Little Cara saved Bella’s life with her compassion and quick actions. But Bella was about to be introduced to even more angels watching over her. One of the families who saw Bella’s story decided to adopt her.

Sadly, Bella died in 2015. But thanks to the caring hearts of people like Cara, Kenny, and her new family, she finished her life surrounded with love and happiness.
