A new challenge is becoming popular these days among teens and younger children – the Kylie Jenner challenge.
Unlike the tide pod challenge and the one where you have to take a selfie in a dangerous area, victims of the new trend do not die. They just look like a carp for a few days.
A 12-year-old girl from Hertfordshire tried the challenge, which involves keeping the lips in a shot glass to get a plump pout like Kylie Jenner.
But Lily Greenland’s attempt to inflate her lips was too effective that she was left looking like a fish for two days.
Her mother, Danni, recorded the whole thing and laughed at her daughter.
“I would say she looked like Pete Burns, to be honest,” Danni said. “I’ve never seen lips like it in real life. It was very surreal. It was like a lip filler job gone very wrong.
“Hopefully it’s put her off having lip fillers when she’s older. They were probably about three or four times of the size of her natural lips. She usually has quite small natural lips.
“She took it off her lips and looked like that. It was really funny. I found it so shocking seeing how big her lips were. It was only on her lips for about a minute. It was mad how plumped up they did get just from a shot glass, to be honest. It worked, but that’s not the look you want.”
Danni even compared her daughter’s look to that of a baboon. “They’re looking nice and bruised now. They’re not as big but they’re still not back to normal.
“They’re a bit big and underneath her lip she looks like she’s got a beard now. It looks like she’s got stubble. She looks like she’s got big lips and a bit of stubble. It just looks dirty. It’s not a good look.
“She was eating fine, but with talking her bottom lip was just hanging down because it was so big.
“So when Lily was talking she couldn’t say the words properly. She looked like a baboon, but that didn’t last too long.”
