A 17-year-old girl died after she was lured to the woods by her friend and ex-boyfriend.
Madison Sparrow passed away on October 2 after her ex-boyfriend, 19-year-old Noah Sharp, and friend 17-year-old Annika Stalczynski, beat her with a metal baseball bat.
The two suspects allegedly bludgeoned Madison with the bat behind a Delaware school.
According to reports, Sharp took his ex-girlfriend to a different wooded area where cops discovered her remains.
Three days after the killing, Sharp was arrested and admitted to killing her with the metal bat.
Madison’s schoolmate, Stalczynski, was also charged with first-degree murder.
Prosecutor AJ Roop said: “I believe that they had a relationship going back over a number of years, I won’t get into much more than that, or what the status was recently, but they were acquaintances, and they did know each other.”
The teen was reported missing when she failed to return home after shopping with a friend. Police officers found droplets of blood, the metal bat, and Madison’s clothes in the woods.
Sharp and Stalczynski are being held in custody on bail.

She added: “My heart aches for Madi’s parents, the Sparrow family, and the entire Newark Charter community. We can never replace what these people have lost, but we can – and will – hold her killers accountable.”
