Sending your children to daycare can still be worrying as you are not one hundred percent sure that your little angel is well taken care of.

All you need to do is to trust that employees in the facility are responsible and caring enough to keep your baby safe.

In most cases, everything goes well and parents are glad to know that their children get to learn new skills and words. Babies are also usually happy as they are surrounded by other kids their age, and of course, plenty of toys!

But there are situations when things go really wrong and you suddenly start to question yourself why exactly did you send your child to daycare. That’s what happened to one mother from Brenham, Texas.

Tiffanie Cedillo was surprised to find that their 1-year-old girl came back with 2nd-degree burns on her foot after leaving her child at the daycare.

Cedillo said to KBTX News: “She was screaming when I went to go pick her up.”

When she checked her little girl’s feet, she was shocked to know the real extent of what was going on.

Her daughter’s feet were covered in huge blisters and red patches. Cedillo immediately asked the employee to know what happened to her baby.

“She said she was sent out on the playground with no shoes on, because earlier that day she had diarrhea and it went down to her shoes,” she shared.

The employees didn’t consider the fact that the equipment and pavement heated up from the sun might be too hot for babies’ sensitive feet.

“I was heartbroken when I saw her foot because half of her foot was blistered,” Cedillo expressed.

She rushed her daughter to a hospital and called the police to track down the employees responsible for what happened.

“It was almost a hundred degrees yesterday,” Cedille said. “It’s just common sense you don’t send kids out barefoot on the playground. My child was neglected and I would like for people to know that.”

Cedillo said that she no longer trusts daycares to watch over her daughter.
