An adorable girl with autism has surprised a random bride she saw by running towards her after mistaking her for Cinderella.
5-year-old Layla Lester is a huge fan of Disney princesses who always jumps into dresses and pretends that she is a princess as well.
For that reason, Layla didn’t hesitate to run towards a ‘Cinderella’ bride who was having a photo-shoot in the park on her wedding day.
“Cinderella, Cinderella!” the young girl was screaming as she ran from her mothers’ arms towards the stranger.
Fortunately, Olivia Spark, the bride, was positively surprised by the young girl and immediately fell in love with her lively character.
And so, Olivia pretended to be Cinderella to make the girl’s dreams come true.
“That meant a lot that I didn’t have to apologize for her,” Layla’s mother said in an interview with CBS Evening News, explaining how she often has to apologize to people for her daughter’s swift actions.
Not only did Olivia, who is actually a heavy lift operator, made the girl’s day, but the two stayed in contact, whereas the newlywed often visits Layla’s house dressed as a bride and pretends to be Cinderella.
“It’s an instant bond, they love each other, it’s cute,” Layla’s mother added.
“She’s the epitome of a true princess, she’s kind, she’s sweet, she went out of her way to make Layla’s day special. Who would do that other than a princess?”
Speaking of her new roleplaying hobby, Oliva said she “was more than happy to play Cinderella for that little girl.”
After the story went viral, people applauded Olivia for handling the situation in such a sweet manner rather than getting upset as some brides most likely would during their photoshoot.
