“Ghost Ship” Carrying Indonesian Flag Spotted Off Myanmar Coast


Ships are huge metal bodies that carry millions of tons of weight and travel on the surface of the water.

 These ships are so huge that a human just looks like an ant in front of these giant travel mechanism. These ships are used to carry a large number of goods and people across the borders of the countries through sea passages. Many ships keep traveling from one port to other and travel a long journey where no one else can be found. The ocean can sometimes be harsh to these ships and the crew members on the board and leave them all devastated and even kill at times.

This ship named ‘Sam Ratulangi PB 1600’ last sailed up a journey in the ocean in June 2009 according to the records. But the authorities later found out that the ship was traveling from Jakarta in Indonesia to Bangladesh for a ship breaking factory to dismantle the ship.

The ship was out on its route with the crew members when the ocean changed its mood and because of the bad weather, the crew deboarded the ship.

No goods and crew member were present on the ship when it was found near the coast but the ship had cut cables tied to it. This indicated that the ship was being towed to some other part of the ocean. Later it was found that the ship had 13 crew members and another ship was towing it to Bangladesh but had to leave it there after the weather condition got really tough to deal with.

The crew members later told Myanmar authorities that the ship left Jakarta for Bangladesh on 13 August before they had to cut off the cables to let the other ship sail out to life.point 286 |
