Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘madam’ has been arrested at a luxurious home located outside Bradford, New Hampshire.
Ghislaine Maxwell secretly bought the $1 million estate called Tuckedaway eight months ago.
In an interview with Daily Mail, a neighbor said he noticed two small aircraft buzzing the area early Thursday morning but he had gone to work before authorities arrived.
A man, who described himself as the estate manager, came out from a second building and told Daily Mail to leave, claiming they were intruding.
The 4,500 sq. ft. house boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms. A company called Granite Reality LLC bought the property for $1.07 million in December 2019.
“From every room there are views or the Sunapee foothills to the west. From the covered front porch to ceiling fieldstone fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and a spectacular chandelier, a wall of glass frames a stunning southwestern view beyond the stone patio,” the realtor said.
The house also features a large dining area, guest room suite, a large den, loft office guest room, laundry room and mud room, and also a partially finished basement.
The former owner of Tuckedaway, Richard Yopsin, has not yet responded to a request for comment, nor have the realtors involved in the acquisition of the property.
According to federal prosecutors, Maxwell had been hiding since July last year, when Jeffrey Epstein was arrested. She changed her email address and phone number and move at least two times.
Prosecutors said that Maxwell had at least 15 bank accounts with a maximum $20million total balance, and she had declared a foreign bank account in 2019 with a balance of over $1 million.
Documents also showed that between 2007 and 2011, Epstein transferred over $20million into her accounts. The money was returned to his accounts to keep the amounts undisclosed to authorities.
