A famous columnist from the UK’s Telegraph has reportedly been sacked for suggesting an absurd remark in the context of Lilibet Diana’s name.
Local media outlets were quick to point out how Julie Burchill had been terminated from her position on Sunday, right after she Tweeted about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby name.
Despite being a high-profile columnist for one of the UK’s leading newspapers, Julie was shown no mercy over the incident that had plenty of people talking.
“Harry and Meghan might as well name their newborn daughter Georgina Floydina,” Julie exclaimed on Twitter.

Referring to the incident as a missed opportunity, the columnist went on to raise eyebrows for referencing George Floyd who was a Black Man that was murdered in Minneapolis. His death sparked thousands of protests around the globe, giving rise to the Black Lives Matter Movement too.
After sparking outrage amounts social media viewers, the journalist then went on to double down on her own words. Her defensive status mentioned how she called her baby ‘IT’ as it was a nod towards non-binary bollocks. Again, her next comment revolved around how the baby’s first words should be, ‘Free Palestine.”
Unsurprisingly, by Wednesday, Julie’s account was reportedly removed, with her being terminated from her position as a columnist in the famous right-wing-based newspaper.
In the end, Julie mentioned how she was fired from the Telegraph, concluding how working for them for the past 5 years was a truly lovely experience. However, she did boldly add how the paper never failed to reject her edgy column ideas too!
