Gemma Collins Congratulated Her Parents’ Wedding Anniversary Through Instagram As She Couldn’t Meet Them In Person Due To Lockdown


We are compelled to lock ourself in our houses due to the coronavirus pandemic but it is necessary because thousands of lives have been lost since the outbreak has started.

Many people who are away from their families have no choice but to miss them or can only stay in touch through social media or video calls.

Gemma Collins who is a media personality was left heartbroken when she couldn’t meet her parents on their wedding anniversary amid coronavirus lockdown.

The 39-year-old took to Instagram to wish her parents on their special day and shared two adorable photos of them. In one picture, her father can be seen kissing his beloved wife. In another photo, the family is posing for the camera together.

She wrote: “42 YEARS MARRIED today HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the best parents anyone could ever ask for.”

In another post, Gemma wrote: “see you once all this blows over.”

Recently, Gemma’s mother recovered from pneumonia and she thanked the hospital staff to take care of her mom. She wrote: “Thank you to all the nurses who helped my mom she’s had pneumonia and on the mend NHS thank you thank you so overstretched right now my mom has rheumatoid arthritis and is a high risk to infection.”

Gemma has previously spoken about her mom’s condition saying she felt bad seeing her depressed during the illness. She told The Sun: “I always tried to be really strong, so when I was with her I was happy, upbeat, like ‘Come on mom, you’re gonna be alright! Then I’d leave the house, get in my car and cry for hours. I used to ring my friends and say ‘I just don’t know what I can do to help my mom,’ it was the worst thing.”

She said that many people are not aware of what is going with her mom and there were the days when her family got panicked thinking about losing her mother.

“Mentally I really noticed mom getting depressed and seeing her like that was just terrible. We saw lots of different doctors and not many people knew what was wrong with her. There were moments where me, my dad and my brother said, Mom’s going to die.”
