It’s not easy for a movie or TV show to stay safe from its eagle-eyed audience for a long time.
And now it’s everyone’s favorite HBO fantasy series which is being grilled by fans around the world.
A sharp spotter has seen something utterly misfitting in Game of Thrones and his revelation has created a storm on the internet.
In a short video extract from the hit show, you can see Jamie Lannister (played by Nikolai Coster-Waldau) walking across in a scene from the very first episode of the series.
Behind him, however, is a guy with apparels from the 21st century.
As pointed out by Twitter user @kbiegel, the guy has put on a pair of blue denim jeans, a jacket made by Patagonia, and some modern-looking boots.
His looks seem as if he were in a busy metropolitan as compared to the strange medieval fantasy world of the series.
To be honest, the show creators weren’t expecting GOT to become such a huge hit when the first episode was aired on television.
Maybe, that’s why they were not so enthusiastic to scrutinize tiny details as they do now.
But considering the unexpected nature of the show, it could’ve been a ploy from the show creator George RR Martin, who loves to give surprises to the fans.
Who knows, the misfit guy could turn out to be a time-traveler who would go on to take the Iron Throne.
By the way, many users suggested the guy is Bucky Barnes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Though Westeros is an unexpected place for the Winter Soldier to be in, anything, I repeat, anything could happen in this show.
And just imagine, how great it would be if the Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan in the MCU) tips out to end the war against the White Walkers in a shocking plot twist.
Seems unlikely, yet possible.
Guess we would have to wait to see if it happens.
