The Galapagos penguin is the only penguin in the world that lives north of the equator.
Most of the part of populations live very near to the equator or the south of it, but this penguin resides a few islands in the Galapagos where they can survive in the northern hemisphere.

This lucky swimmer enjoying and exploring a large lagoon at Conche Perla, an isolated beach on Isabela Island. Isabela is known as the largest island in the Galapagos and the most exclusive. The lagoon is the right place of mullet that regularly circle the lagoon in search of smaller fish to eat.

It is outstanding feeling when you see a wild penguin in the water, and even more adventurous to have one come within a few inches of your face to give such a close-up view. This swimmer had an amazing experience to have such an unbelievable encounter.
