Florida farmers have become obsessed with cultivating giant, long-neck avocados that fruits enthusiasts can’t get enough of.

As the farmers revealed, each fruit can weigh up to three pounds and measure over three feet in length. This luxury, however, comes at a hefty price, as a single fruit might cost you up to $47.

The long-neck avocados, also known as Pura Vida, have recently sparked global interest despite being around for plenty of years.

The fruit gained popularity after Miami Fruit posted pictures of the giant fruit on social media along with the announcement that the “savory, and slightly sweet” delicacy will be returning to their shelves.

Sold in either small or bulk packages, long-neck avocados thrive during the summer, meaning that their season this year has already ended.

A large box of the giant avocados sells for $197 and comes with 35-45 pounds of the fruits while its smaller alternative goes for $47 and includes 3-6 pounds of avocados.
