Friends Pulled An Ultimate Prank By Tricking One Of Them To Show Up Wearing An Iron Man Suit

A group of creative friends pulled off the ultimate prank on a stag do by convincing one of their own that the party was going to be fancy dress themed.

As a result, the lad appeared in an Iron man suit while the others watered down their whiskey in t-shirts and sweatpants.

The stag do was organized for Richard by his brother John Lyons and the mates came up with a brilliant idea of fooling someone other than the groom-to-be.

They selected one of their friends who had fallen for such a prank in the past.

The group planned to start things with breakfast at The Looking Glass, a Weatherspoon pub in Washington.

Everyone but one of them showed up in everyday outfits. The unlucky lad, after being tricked into believing it was a fancy dress party, showed up as Iron Man.

Speaking to LADbible, the organizer of the party, John said: “It was my brother Richard’s stag do, and we all started off at the Wetherspoon’s at 10 o’clock in the morning.

“We all convinced one of the lads that it was fancy dress.”

The one who showed up as Tony Stark was their mate Andy. John added: “We all convinced him on a group chat that it was fancy dress.

“We just told him it was anything – I told him I was coming as Chuck Norris. He also thought one of the other lads was coming as Thor, and someone else as Superman, and another as Batman.

“We all chose outfits and we all posted them on the group chat to try and convince him… and it worked.

“We were all at the pub waiting, and we thought he’d cottoned on to us and figured it out because while we were at the pub he tried FaceTiming us because he wanted to see what we all looked like.

“But we swerved him and told him we couldn’t get a proper internet signal. So we told him to hurry up because we were all waiting for breakfast.”

The wait ended when Andy walked in, in an Iron man outfit.

He realized he was pranked only after seeing the rest of the company dressed like normal people. But, as it appears, Andy is good at taking jokes lightly.

When asked if he was mad at the whole thing, he said: “Well, I was at the time, but I took it as a bit of banter between the boys.

“I felt a bit embarrassed, but all good sport – it’s all a bit of a laugh isn’t it?”

Andy said it was not the first time he fell for something like this. He said: “It has happened on a previous stag do… In fact it’s happened twice.”

Any lesson he might have learned from it? “I probably have now, yeah,” he said, laughing.

John said Andy finally got rid of the costume before they started the day in Manchester.

“He went and got changed, took it off. Luckily he had something on underneath, he went and dropped it off where he works round the corner,” he said.

“We all keep watching the video now, we keep laughing about it. He thinks it’s dead funny.”

The stag do that started at 10 am in the morning didn’t end in the evening and continued till late at night.

Andy said: “I think the final ones of us sloped off about four in the morning. There were four of us left – Iron Man never made it through the night, he got off about half 12.”

With a hint of laughter, he added: “He said he had to go back and recharge his superhero suit.”
