A photo showing a group of friends having a good time at a party is going viral thanks to a clever optical illusion.
As seen in the photo above, several people are posing for a photo at a club and smiling from ear to ear. What you may not realize just yet, however, is that the picture also features what appears to be a six feet long arm!
In the photo, the second girl from the right side is seen holding a glass in one hand while her right hand appears to be extended all the way to the left edge of the photo.
“My sister’s arm in this club photo looks about 6ft long I’m crying,” a Twitter user known as @_elbailey wrote in her post as she shared the bizarre pic on the platform.
Though it may look like the girl’s arm is unusually long, we have to tell you that the reason for this is nothing more than a cunning optical illusion.
As it happens, the girl’s right hand goes behind the back of the girl to her right. Meanwhile, the partygoer to her right is keeping her right arm in an awkward position that makes it look as if the limb didn’t belong to her.
After the photo went viral, people were quick to joke around saying the ‘long’ arm looks like something from A Nightmare on Elm Street. In the classic horror movie, Freddy Krueger terrified the viewers with his long arms stretched out.
