If you have seen the most beloved sitcom Friends then you must be aware of the iconic fringed orange couch seen in the Central Perk coffeehouse and in the show’s original opening credit.
The replicas of iconic orange three-seater will go on tour this month to locations around the world, revealed USA TODAY. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of hit comedy’s premiere, the Central Perk sofa is embarking on a world tour this month, starting with the Grand Canyon before continuing to the Empire State Building in New York, London’s Tower Bridge, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and other landmarks.
“If you had told me that we’re going to come up with a show that, 25 years later, one piece off furniture is so iconic you could put it in the Empire State Building and you’d know what it is, It’s beyond surreal,” says co-creator David Crane in an interview.
