Courageous Fourth Grader’s Voluntary Speech Touched The Hearts Of Millions Of People


Rumari, a fourth grader at Chino Valley School District, touched the hearts of his teacher as well as all the classmates by his stunning voluntary speech last week.

Since it is a ASD syndrome Awareness Month, California Campus has this tradition of decorating every class room by its student. Children suspend colorful paper puzzle pieces on the classroom doors.

The moment when Ms. Lisa, Rumari’s class teacher, was preparing for the decorations and handing over the puzzle pieces to her student. Rumari rose his hand to say something. She was known with the fact that her students are already aware of the idea of Autism but never thought she has got one within Rumari in her own classroom.

According to her Facebook post Rumari, despite having ASD syndrome stood but bravely in front of the whole classroom and explained the true meaning of ‘Yes I Can’.point 140 | Fighting all his inside demons and fears, He proved the whole class that nothing can stop him from moving forward in life.point 241 | 1

In his speech he confidently accepted that he is a victim of ASD syndrome and how we can fight with the inner complexes. He spoke about his own differences and obsessions.

Teacher and all the students were so moved away with his speech that she never thought of taking out her phone and record his beautiful word till the closing lines. So she was able to record the final moments only.

Rumari left his class fellows and teacher in tears but these tears were having applause, cheers and gratification towards him.

Rumari’s Mother also saw the post and stated with excitement that it melted her heart away watching her son speaking out in audience so bravely. She showed her gratitude by giving all the credit to the school environment and the teacher for polishing his spoken skill and taking out such a good from inside him.
