Four German Workers Caught Coronavirus Even Without Visiting China


Four German workers at a car parts plant have caught the deadly coronavirus without visiting China.

One of the patients became ill after he came into contact with a Chinese colleague from Shanghai. It turned out that his colleague had just visited Wuhan city, where the virus reportedly originated.

The Chinese woman only developed symptoms on her way back to Shanghai after a trip to Bavaria, Germany.

The 33-year-old male worker, who already caught the virus, had infected three other workers at their work place.

Three other men from Taiwan, Vietnam and Japan have also contracted the killer virus without visiting China through human-to-human transmission of coronavirus.

The Bavarian health ministry also said that 40 other workers had ‘close contact’ with the first patient and will be screened. All four patients are now in isolation in a hospital in Munich.

This comes as 840 new cases were confirmed in China and death toll rose to 131.

Countries around the world are pulling their citizens from Hubei region, where the outbreak started. Seven cases have confirmed the killer virus is spreading from person to person.

A Vietnamese man got the virus from his father who had visited China. In Japan, a 60-year-old driver caught the infection after driving for two groups of people who just visited Wuhan.

A health minister in Thailand admitted that they could not stop the spread of the virus as 14 people have caught the infection.

However, China said that the country would “win the battle against the devil virus.” A Chinese scientists also thinks the “battle of Wuhan” will peak in ten days’ time.

Russia has closed the border with China in regions of Amur, Khabarovsk and Autonomous Oblast.

India is preparing to evacuate citizens from Hubei province. France, South Korea and Japan have planned charter flights to take their citizens out of the region.
