The First Secretary of State of Great Britain has spoken out and accused Russia of secretly developing deadly missile systems which they could make use of to strike Europe’s capitals.

In his speech, Dominic Raab put his finger on Russia and accused them of causing the collapse of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces treaty that was signed thirty years ago by former presidents of the US and Russia.

As Mr. Raab added, Russia walked out of the deal because they’ve been “secretly developing and deploying a treaty-violating missile system which can target Europe’s capitals.”

The Foreign Secretary slammed this action and claimed that the Russian president Vladimir Putin “threatens European security.”

The accusations follow days after Russia and the U.S. formally withdrew from the INF treaty. The U.S. President Donald Trump announced last year that the States would be quitting the pact after accusing Russia of non-compliance.

Following the world’s biggest military forces walking out on the treaty has sparked worldwide fears of a potential race for new arms between the countries.

“Russia has caused the INF Treaty to collapse by secretly developing and deploying a treaty-violating missile system which can target Europe’s capitals,” Mr. Raab tweeted.

“Their contempt for the rules based international system threatens European security. UK fully supports NATO’s response.”

President Trump also blamed Russia for the fall of the pact, claiming that Moscow has been working on powerful weapons that put the country’s allies at great risk.

“Russia today remains in violation of the INF Treaty, despite years of U.S. and Allied engagement, including a final opportunity over six months to honor its Treaty obligations,” NATO statement read.

“As a result, the United States decision to withdraw from the Treaty, a decision fully supported by NATO Allies, is now taking effect. Russia bears sole responsibility for the demise of the Treaty.

“We regret that Russia has shown no willingness and taken no demonstrable steps to return to compliance with its international obligations.

“Allies are firmly committed to the preservation of effective international arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation.

“Therefore, we will continue to uphold, support, and further strengthen arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation, as a key element of Euro-Atlantic security, taking into account the prevailing security environment.”
