After only one classmate accepted the invitation to his birthday party, a 9-year-old boy with autism was left disappointed.

Lindsay Larsen wrote on Facebook that she invited her son Christian’s 25 classmates to his birthday party but only one girl accepted the invitation.

This left Christian, who attends Hillsdale Elementary in Meridian, Idaho, disappointed but Lindsay’s friend Blythe Ben-David decided to make Christian’s birthday special.

Blythe reached out to Nampa High School Football Coach Dan Holtry and asked him for help.

Christian told KTVB: “This is probably the best birthday ever, I have lots of best days in my life, and this might be one of them. It was truly amazing to watch them. Those High School seniors stayed until the end of the party.”

Coach Holtry said when he asked the team, they immediately agreed and were excited to be a part of Christian’s birthday party.

Holtry told KTVB: “It was just an opportunity to take care of a guy that was going through adversity. We’re blessed here at Nampa High School.”

“We have a lot of great kids. We know about adversity and we have our fair share, and we know how to fight through it.”

The mother later thanked the football team and the coach and wrote: “There is so much good in this world. And when things are hard, the good shine even brighter.”
