Florida Mom Made Her Daughter Carry Pencils In A Plastic Sandwich Bag To Teach Her A Lesson

In an incident, a mother living in Florida did something extraordinary to teach her six-year-old daughter a lesson.

Her daughter Presleigh had demanded a popular LOL pencil box.

So, Haley decided to surprise her child with the pencil box and went to three different stores to find one for her daughter.

She expected her daughter to be excited, however, Presleigh had changed her mind by then and threw it in a trashcan. She further slammed her bedroom door and said that she does not want it anymore since it is now common in her school.

Haley was obviously furious but decided to teach Presleigh a lesson. She posted her ordeal on Facebook in which she mentioned that she is a single mother.

She added that she works really hard to support her daughter and tries to give her everything she demands.

She wrote that although she had always taught her daughter to be grateful and consider herself lucky, Presleigh needed a wakeup call.

And so, she gifted Presleigh a plastic sandwich box with Presleigh’s pencil box scribbled on it. As a result, her daughter now thought that the Ziploc bag was horrible and the LOL pencil box was good.

But it was too late, Haley told her daughter to take the box out of the trashcan for donating it.

She told her daughter that the box would be given to someone either who does not have parents or whose parents cannot afford school supplies.

She explained her daughter that Presleigh was taking her mother’s efforts for granted and was not entitled to anything special.

Her post gathered more than five hundred comments in which people applauded the mom for teaching her child the importance of gratefulness.

However, her post received criticism for bringing a private matter in public.
