Five missing children have been rescued and 262 people, including 141 gang members, were arrested during a 60-day law enforcement operation in Oklahoma.
Two gang members accused of abducting children from a daycare center were arrested.
‘Operation Triple Beam’ started on July 6 to reduce violent crime in and around the city.
Charles and Chasady Hall were arrested on August 12 for allegedly kidnapping children from a daycare center. Both of them are reported to be members of the Dungee Crip gang.
Thanks to Operation Triple Beam, a collaboration between the US Marshals and other agencies, the children are now safe in foster care.
Surenos gang member and murder suspect Pablo Robledo was also arrested.
According to reports, Robledo had been in jail awaiting trial for first-degree murder. He managed to escape from prison alongside his cellmate Jose Hernandez.
The two scaled down 12 floors of the jailhouse by creating a rope using bedsheets and paper.
US Marshals employee Johnny Kuhlman told KFOR: “We used all kinds of techniques and investigative techniques to try and locate him, and once again we were successful in getting him back into custody.”
Dkwon Littlejohn, a member of the Rollin 60’s Crip gang, was also found as part of the Operation Triple Beam.
Littlejohn reportedly broke into an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation car and stole a rifle.
Investigators also seized 9 kilograms of drugs, 72 weapons, and $17,000 cash during the 60-day operation.
A statement from the US Marshals read: “Our primary goal with operations like OTB is to make communities safer.
“When we arrest these violent fugitives, we are also removing guns and narcotics from our streets. We believe these efforts have an immediate, positive impact on the communities we serve.”
