Melania Trump was wearing a shiny black trench coat costing the price of a car as she accompanied President Trump to watch the College Football Playoff National Championship in New Orleans.
The first couple was spotted in the South Lawn of the White House, walking to Marine One, the presidential helicopter to leave for New Orleans.
Their trip was to witness the football match between Louisiana State University and Clemson State University, two of the major football powers in the US.
The 49-year-old lady opted to wear none of the colors of the teams and went for a neutral black theme. She looked smart in the $2,000 leather trench from Scanlan Theodore.
With her highlighted brown hair in loose curls around her shoulders, the first lady wore knee-high stiletto boots, also black, to match the trench.
The first lady, who’s a former model, rocked in all black while her husband, the President, was seen in his usual navy-blue suit with a red tie.
Just before the flight to New Orleans, the President talked to the media and the couple walked across the South Lawn to greet the fans standing outside the boundary of the White House.
As they boarded the helicopter for the short hop to the airport to catch Air Force One, the first lady was seen wearing a bright wide smile.
The helicopter led them to the Joint Airbase in Maryland where the plane was waiting to take them on their journey.
The football match was broadcasted nationwide on ESPN which gave Trump a chance to be seen by millions of Americans across all the states on the same day when there was a Democratic presidential debate going on in Iowa, besides all the furor created by the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
This match is the third game Trump watched as the president and marks the second time he watched the Louisiana State University team in action.
