A hilarious before-and-after image of a Scottish girl is doing the rounds on the internet.
The image depicts how five-year-old Glaswegian Lucie was impacted by her first day back at school.
The photo taken just before Lucie left her home to take the classes shows her standing proudly, giving a radiant fresh look in her nifty uniform ironed to perfection.
Her bow is positioned just correct, her hair is neatly combed, and her shoes are shining even more than the ones which are at display on shoe markets.
The innocent smile on her face shows she’s really looking forward to her first day at school.
The second photograph was captured just after Lucie returned from school and it clearly speaks of how hard it was for her to attend that first day.
More precisely, you can say that she looks like she spent the day working at a potato farm.
To make it clear that it wasn’t a case of harassment or bullying, Lucie’s mom Jilian confirmed that her post-school condition was the aftermath of her being playfully busy, catching up with buddies she hadn’t seen in months.
Going back to school after some seven weeks of vacations, it was quite a tough day for the little kid. In fact, she was so tired that she went to bed earlier than her routine.
Speaking to The Metro, Lucie’s mum said: “She had her skirt round her ankles almost and a bow at the back of her hair. I think her clothes were too big slightly and she was pleased to see her friends.”
It is understandable that you can’t stop kids from playing and working themselves up but the exact cause of Lucie returning home so exhausted is still unknown.
Her mom said: “I did say to her, ‘What did you do today?’ and got usual reply all children give, ‘Oh, nothing much. She’s the smallest and is a wee madame.”
“She is normally very shy,” the mother added, “except when she’s around her brothers.”
But Lucie and kids like her need not worry. A day will come when they’ll be laughing at these photos, showing them to their significant others just to prove how cute they used to be.
