A furious fireman told Australian PM Scott Morrison to get f***ed before he collapsed on the ground.
The firefighter pulled his fire truck over to deliver his message to the prime minister. He shouted: “Are you from media?”
After the cameraman confirmed that he was from a news outlet, the firefighter shouted: “Tell the prime minister to go and get f***ed from Nelligen.’
His female colleague also echoed his sentiments for the leader and told the camera: “Stand down now!”
Only moments later, the firefighter collapsed on the ground from exhaustion.
The completely exhausted fireman said to the cameraman: “I’ve already lost seven homes, I’m not going to lose another.”
The criticism for the prime minister follows amid growing outrage over Mr. Morrison’s handling of the crisis.
He was slammed for secretly jetting off to Hawaii for a trip with his family in late December as blazes worsened.
During his visit to Cobargo n the NSW south coast, he also walked away from a distressed resident.
Mr. Morrison was filmed approaching a woman and forcing her to shake his hand but he walked away when she asked for better funding for the NSW Rural Fire Service.
When asked why he turned his back on the pregnant mother, he told the reporters: “There were quite a number of people who were there, and other people were wanting to talk to me as well, which is what I went and did.
“What she spoke to me about was the need for more local fire brigade support. That’s what she raised with me when I was talking to her and I went on to meet a number of other people.”
NSW Rural Fire Services Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons also accused Mr. Morrison’s government of delaying the plans to increase funding for a national aerial fighting fleet.
“We need to ensure that we have a locked-in budget so we can secure more long-term arrangements around funding and leasing,” he said.
“We haven’t seen a positive response to that business case. The business case has been with the federal government for 18 months at least.”
