The Holy Trinity CofE Primary School in Gravesend implemented a new rule on parents.
They will be fined with £1 if they reach the pick-up point.
The fine will increase if they get more late; the same amount will add up for every extra 5 minutes.
Moreover, the school teachers are allowed to ring social services if they find their students waiting to be collected after the given time.
The kids will be sent to the local authority if in case the parents are unable to contact their kids.
The rules have left a fear in parents and they make sure that they are never late to drop their kids at the pick-up point.
There were various reactions of the parents after the after these rules were adopted. Most of the parents were shocked to read this notice from the school.
More information about the school, it is located in a deprived area and this is the reason why many parents also have to struggle to maintain the cost of childcare.
Generally, the school timings are almost the same for the other schools as well. This creates traffic jam and it is quite difficult for the parents to reach on time.
Earlier, the students were supposed to wait in the school library but it is now closed due to some renovations. There were many more facilities provided to the children which were stopped due to some or the other reasons.
Parents also said that they are really disappointed with how governors have agreed to the implementation of such rules. It looks more dishonorable now!
The parents also observed that the headteacher just invented a way to earn more money.
However, the school claims that this money will be used to cover up the costs of teachers who stay late in school in order to supervise the children.
