Irishman Daniel Carley had just moved into his new apartment, the building was a bit old but nothing was broken and he was satisfied with in all. But when he found a trap door near his bathroom it started to become whole new different story.
Daniel was looking around his new apartment when he had found a handle on the floor near the bathroom, and this was definitely not in the lease. He decided to open it and found steps leading down, of course curiosity got the better of him he decided to venture downwards. What he found down there was not one of those ordinary basement that you would expect!
Check out what Daniel found in the gallery below!
Meet Daniel Carley who has recently moved into a new apartment in England
He thought the apartment was a pretty good deal
“The kitchen/living room has high ceilings: it’s a very old building”
“It really is a mezzanine, it’s more of a bunk bed than a bedroom. Cosy.”
“Nice functional shower room”
Then he found this!
“Looks like a hatch. This wasn’t in the lease”
Wait a second…!
“This can’t be true, that’s definitely a staircase”
“We have a dungeon. We have a dungeon”
“Got a friend, and proceeded. There is a proper 19th century layout of corridors and hatches beneath”
“The basement space is beautiful. Four walls, albeit a bit damp, and a somewhat solid floor. Great headroom down here”
“Curious shape in the corner. Bed, or crypt, it’ll make a good seat for a potential home cinema, or else for a dungeon party”
“The staircase back up to the apartment”
