A white couple living in the US, who are now separated, have filed lawsuits against the clinic where they had their baby girl together.
The couple that recently separated filed separate cases on the clinic as they claim that the daughter they have is an Asian.
Drew Wasilewski and his Ex-Wife Kristina Koedderich went to a fertility clinic to get pregnant. They gave them their sperm and eggs in 2012 and Kristina gave birth to their daughter in 2013.
The glitch in the story was that after some time the parents stared to notice that their baby girl is developing Asian features.
They later found out that the baby girl also has a blood disease that is inherited diseases prevalent in Asia.
Soon they found out that Drew is not the father of the child they had together. Kristina says that this is the reason that broke them and separated them.
She said that Drew was left into pieces after listening to the news.
She said that they both kept crying and then she decided to call the clinic Reproductive Medicine and Science at Saint Barnabas (IRMS) where they took the procedure and paid them $500,000.
Following the case, Essex County’s Superior Court Judge Keith Lynott ordered Reproductive Medicine and Science at Saint Barnabas (IRMS) to release all the information about what happened and how.
The court has demanded the name of the lab technician, names of all the people that came to take the procedure and all the Asian donors too.
Drew wishes to find the woman who received her sperm and says that he is ready to take the responsibility of the child. He says that the child has the right to know where it came from and the Asian baby girl has the same right too.
