Deemed as the “Sexiest Athlete in The World,” Alicia Schmidt has resumed her training after a month-long of lockdown.
The 21 years old athlete was hoping to take part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics before the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to the reports, Schmidt has returned to the training and completed a 400m event. Alicia started her career as an athlete after she and her team won silver for the 4×400 relay. Schmidt started at the junior level for Germany and won the Under 20 European Championships in 2017.
The victory followed her, and she kept on stacking up the medals. Not just a brilliant athlete, she has been blowing her fan’s mind off with her Instagram posts. Alicia has around 718,000 followers on Instagram, and her fans love her snaps.
The massive popularity of Alicia compelled the Australian Magazine, Busted Coverage, to call her the World’s Sexiest Athlete. To this title, Alicia said that she has no idea why she got the title, for her sports always comes first.
She added there are numerous other girls on Instagram who have good looks but aren’t getting many followers. People should acknowledge their beauty instead of hers.
As Germany relaxed the lockdown rules, the athlete took to her social media page and expressed her delight to get back on the track.
Her April 19 post said that she has finally returned to the track and started training already. Alicia also shared a picture of her training at the track.
She added that I hope the world recovers from the wraths of this pandemic, and the sports industry can kick back with full swing.
Alicia and her fans were disappointed as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics were cancelled.
But, there are hoping that once all this gets over, the Olympics will reclaim its prominence in the sports industry.
