Some superheroes do not wear a cape and in one such incident, a delivery man took extra care by sanitizing the package of a family after he saw a sign on their door.
The sign was about a child living in the house having an autoimmune disease.
Forty-nine-year-old Carrie Blasi from Boca Raton in Florida put the sign on her door for her eleven-year-old daughter Emma.
The little girl has Type 1 diabetes, which puts her at an increased risk of suffering from life-threatening complications in case she contracts the coronavirus disease.
Justin Bradshaw is a FedEx driver who was delivering a parcel to their house when he read the note placed on the door.
Then, the 28-old took time to sanitize the box and left a message for the family to assure them that the package had been sanitized.
Their house’s security footage also showed him doing a double-take after he walked and read the sign.
The sign explains that someone in that house has an autoimmune disorder and explained that such people are more likely to get the coronavirus disease and then experience severe life-compromising complications.
Bradshaw read the sign and then walked to his truck to grab a sanitizer and paper towel to let him clean the family’s package.
He then wrote on the box that he had cleaned it after he read the note on their door.
This made Blasi so emotional that she shared the pictures of the sign and Bradshaw’s note on Twitter.
Bradshaw noted that he could relate to the mother because his own daughter, who is now a year old, was born at just 28 weeks and weighed only 1 pound and 11 ounces.
According to a study, the virus can remain on a cardboard box for 24 hours.
