Though the FBI agents who visited Laundrie’s house refused to respond to inquiries made by a DailyMail.com reporter, Steven Bertolino, the family’s lawyer, allegedly confirmed that the authorities collected additional evidence for DNA matching purposes.

“The FBI requested some personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to assist them with DNA matching and Brian’s parents provided the FBI with what they could,” the attorney said as he insisted it was all part of a routine procedure.

Bertolino also explained that the FBI’s latest visit of the Laundrie family home doesn’t indicate that the wanted man, who remains a person of interest in Gabby Petito’s murder case and a wanted person for using a debit card that wasn’t his own, has been found.

According to the reports, the retrieval of the items took place on September 26, whereas Brian’s mother Roberta was spotted leaving a small object on the porch outside her home.

Moments later, FBI agents arrived at the family home to pick up an evidence bag before leaving the premises without knocking on the main door or talking to the family.
