The birth of a newborn is an extremely special occasion for the parents.
And generally, celebrated by some drinks, a small party, etc.
People love marking the arrival of their little one by doing something extra and this father, probably, has done the most bizarre thing.
The father baked a huge Cornish pasty which matched the exact weight and size of his newborn baby boy. 33-years-old Tim Fuge from Cornwall took the inspiration from a picture he had seen online.
In the picture, another new father had used a similar technique to illustrate his child’s size but this father chose to make his own.
It took Tim 2.5 hours to bake his pasty masterpiece, which weighed 6.4 lbs or 2.8 kilograms. This humongous pasty took 19 hours for being eaten.
Before making the pasty, Tim researched the techniques online and also made a practice pasty. However, according to Tim, the hardest part was getting a tray large enough to put the thing inside the oven.
The father was unsurprisingly left absolutely stuffed after eating the entire 7,000-calorie treat. Tim had cooked the pasty to marked Jowan’s, his son’s arrival. He filled the pasty with lots of swedes, beef skirts, potatoes, and onions.
Tim said that he saw on Facebook that many people were trying to make their pasties because the shops and bakeries were shut.
He added that he saw an image of a man holding a pasty near his baby to illustrate how big the baby was. This made him think that he could do better.
Since Tim had never made pasties before, he used the help of Cornish Pasty Association website. He revealed that he had eaten numerous pasties before and through the website, he got a list of the ingredients.
After the pasty was made, it was left in the oven for 2.5 hours while they went for their daily walk. And if you are wondering how did this giant treat tasted, Tim noted that his wife was annoyed, as Tim’s pasty was more delicious than hers.
