Steve was diagnosed with a severe case of pancreatitis and he remained in the care of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, for several weeks.
Doctors told Steve he was too ill to attend his daughter’s wedding.
Steve was left heartbroken but Janae who always dreamed of dancing with her dad to their favorite song on her wedding day decided to still make it happen.
When the heartbroken father saw his daughter in her bridal gown on her wedding day, he couldn’t control his tears.
With Darius Rucker’s ‘It Won’t Be Like This For Long’ playing in the background, the father-daughter duo shared a dance together.
‘We had spoken about the moment of him walking me down the aisle for years – [and] of course, dancing with my dad was always a dream moment for me.’
