A young father was fatally shot during a physical altercation between two groups.
The incident took place in the East Village, New York City, where 26-year-old Tyrell Williams was left bleeding hard after being gunned down by an unidentified shooter.
According to the authorities, the shooting occurred at around 1.20 on Sunday morning whereas two groups allegedly got into a fight before the father was shot.
As New York Daily News reported, the altercation eventually turned physical, resulting in one of the suspects pulling out their gun and shooting at the opposing group of men.
After being shot in the chest, the 26-year-old reportedly left behind a blood trail before falling to the ground.
According to the authorities, Williams was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital.
As one of the witnesses told the publication, he was out for a late-night snack when he spotted the victim after hearing a loud noise.
“He had blood all over his mouth. His eyes were open, not breathing. You could tell that he was deceased. EMS started to give CPR. They checked for pulse. He had no pulse,” Christopher Pastor recalled.

As of this writing, no arrests have been made in connection to the fatal shooting of Mr. Williams.
