He rescued his four kids and his wife from the house fire but got trapped inside the house after saving his family.
Firefighters managed to rescue him but he ended up in the intensive care unit and was left fighting for his life.
Kyle’s family is unable to visit him in intensive care to protect the family from contracting the deadly coronavirus.
Kyle’s mother-in-law Dianna Logan told the Sun that they are not allowed to visit him and they all feel disappointed.
A picture of Kyle in his ITU bed with breathing apparatus was released. Dianna said she got the picture and was left terrified.
She said Kyle is fighting for his life in ICU and her daughter wouldn’t have got out of the house alive if it wasn’t for Kyle.
The 48-year-old said: “He was hooked up to wires and he just looked awful.”
“But he’s getting there for sure. No one is allowed to see him at the moment because of the restrictions on coronavirus. It’s just all so surreal.”
Kyle has been hailed a ‘Hero’ for risking his own life to save his kids and wife but Dianna says he doesn’t take any credit or think that he’s a hero.
She said: “But he doesn’t think he’s a hero or take any of the credit.”
Kyle’s house has been destroyed by the fire and he is still recovering at the hospital.
A GoFundMe page has been created for the family to raise funds. Meanwhile, the family is living at Dianna’s house.
