A father could not go to the dentist due to the coronavirus lockdown during an emergency.
So, he decided to take control in his own hands and pulled out his tooth using a set of pliers. And for those of you who are wondering to perform similar chivalry, DO NOT.
Apart from being a silly act, pulling out your tooth is extremely dangerous. This is because you are going to experience a lot of pain and the entire thing is completely unhygienic.
Apart from that, ripping off a tooth also exposes a hole, which could get infected really easily.
Many people would not even want to do such a thing but a 33-year-old father does not come in that category. Billy Taylor extracted his tooth using pliers.
Now, everybody knows doing so can be painful and the dentist generally numbs the area before removing a tooth.
Billy drank lots of whiskey to numb the pain, which again is a dumb idea, and then spent almost an hour extracting the offending tooth with the aid of his young son.
Taylor called 111 for a dentist appointment but was told that there would be no service unless he was not able to breathe properly.
That was when he decided to become his own dentist. Then, Billy grabbed a pair of pliers and downed a couple of shots of Dutch courage for easing the process.
After a lot of pulling, pushing, and screaming, he could finally extract the tooth and he claimed that the pain had disappeared almost instantly.
The father, from Devon’s Axminster, however, said that he would not recommend doing something like that without professional help.
He noted that he had problems with the tooth for two years and had visited the dentist four times. He explained that it was recapped and he underwent a root canal. Then he noted that his toothache was getting worse every moment and the pain was excruciating.
After that, one day, when his face was swollen and he had a migraine on that side, he thought it was an abscess and doing some research, Billy went ahead with it.
