Father slaps his 10-month-old baby because it ‘has cerebral palsy’

A father was caught on camera as he was slapping his 10-month-old son who has cerebral palsy because the boy wouldn’t stop crying.
The disturbing footage shows a Chinese father slapping his infant in the face six times before lifting him up in an attempt to silence him.
The incident was allegedly recorded by the man’s wife, and the mother of the baby, who stood still while her partner was beating the child.
After the incident leaked on social media, sources claimed that the man, who still remains unidentified, was slapping his baby because he got furious after the 10-month-old failed to raise his head or sit upright.
“Poor child! He already has to face a most difficult life, and then meets the parents who can’t accept him,” one angry viewer said on Weibo after seeing the video.
“The mother was still filming? Why didn’t she stop it at once!” another one questioned.
Following the incident, the boy’s mother, Ms. Huang, spoke out and denied all allegations suggesting that her husband was beating the 10-month-old because of his condition.
According to her, her husband only slapped the boy because he wouldn’t stop crying.
“I was cooking and had to give the baby to the father to hold. He cried, so his father hit him a few times,” Huang said, adding that the baby is okay. As she went on to claim, her husband regrets acting in a fit of rage.
To confirm that the 10-month-old indeed was in a good condition, the Nanchang Women’s Association launched a probe into the incident.
The investigators found out that the boy is a cerebral palsy sufferer and confirmed that he shows no signs of neglect or abuse. As they also discovered, the father was having a bad day due to financial issues when the slapping took place.
According to the organization’s spokesperson, the parents offer the best food they can buy for the child and regularly take him to hospital for treatment.
