Matt Allen from Brighton, UK, admitted he has no intention of working or looking for a job even though he and his three kids are living in a council house.

As the man explained, he only works a few hours per week as a yoga teacher because full-time work is just not for him.

In the show called Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, Matt’s family was visited by the host in order to learn more about their lifestyle and their decisions.

As Matt explained to Stacey, all of his children are allowed to co-sleep with him and his partner. In addition, they are also allowed to make their own choices when it comes to when they want to eat and if they want to brush their teeth or not.

Despite their ‘freedom,’ the father-of-three set strict rules in order to keep his children from getting vaccinated or having access to mainstream medicine.

“Do we feel as if we’re abusing the system?  I really don’t think we are, because we have a minimalist impact on society in many respects,” Matt said.

“In regards to social systems – schools and the NHS – we save money on that. Adele didn’t have births at hospital so we saved money on that. So in our own unique weird wonderful way we balance the books.”

When Dooley asked Matt what he thinks about parents who spend most of their time at work in order to provide for their children, the father replied:

“Spend more time with your kids – it’s simple. I have no intention of working a 45 or 50 hour week – it’s just not in my psyche.”

Matt and his partner, Adele, also run an Instagram account where they share moments of their life together.

“We do put toothbrushes out in the bathroom but not fluoridated toothpaste and we do NOT enforce teeth brushing,” the mum wrote on Instagram.

During the episode, the family also revealed that their 8-year-old child is not yet able to write down his own name but claimed it’s okay for him to learn it in his own time.

“What’s it stopping him from doing, other than meeting test requirements?” Adele said.

“I don’t know any home educated children who go past the teenage skills and don’t pick up the literacy skills. At the moment he’s eight years old and it’s absolute fine for him to take his time picking up those skills – so it’s not urgent right now.”
