While the water may have been as muddy as it gets, Kneipp couldn’t help but take a swim in it after his farm got devastated by drought and fires over and over for months.

As the diligent farmer revealed, his bills kept on rising and he was beginning to worry about the future of his farm.

“It wasn’t just as easy as selling [our cattle] and buying them back when the drought breaks… a stud herd can’t be replaced when the season is right,” Kneipp said.

In order to cope with the crisis, he and his wife were forced to launch a business called Insignia Custom Hats and work overtime to pay the bills.

“We were trying to hang on to what we have spent decades establishing. The recent rains will mean I now have an extra hour or so in the day to spend not filling water troughs but on our new business, which will hopefully pay to feed the cows,” he added.

“But more importantly I’ll have more playtime with our four-year-old son and one-year-old daughter.”

In the wake of the rain bomb taking over several parts of Australia, plenty of farmers were filmed enjoying rainfall to the fullest.

Another hard-worker blessed by heavy rainfall was a farmer from NSW whose child posted a video of their father enjoying the rainfall on Reddit.

“Send it down. Let’s get wet,” the man screamed in joy as he was walking around and spinning cheerfully. “My cows – here’s some rain to give you some feed.”
