An Australian Farmer Filmed Himself While Celebrating Rainfall After Facing Massive Drought In South Wales


The Australian bushfires erupted destruction throughout the southern and western parts of the continent.

The flames have destroyed both fields and grassland, with the farmers and livestock bearing the brunt of the damage.

The destructive weather has now taken a back seat and its place is occupied by rainfall across New South Wales bringing much-needed relief to the affected area.

A farmer on his drought-affected property has filmed himself enjoying a deluge of rain as he could not control his ecstatic mood.

A genuinely heartwarming video when posted on social media, showed the farmer jumping for joy as he welcomed the soothing drizzle on his New South Wales farm after many months of dry weather.

It can be clearly seen in the video that the farmer stepped outside his cottage to celebrate the splattering of rainfall all over the farm, which had long since become brown due to drought in the said area.

The farmer then takes off his hat and looks up gratefully to the sky as the rain continues to fall on his face. “Send it down. Let’s get wet,” he says, as the rain keeps pouring.

He is then seen giving a brief look at his cows as they too happily stand out in the rain and the heard is scattered around the ground, giving a wonderful sign that the land will soon come to life again.

He further addresses his heard as, “My cows- here’s some rain to give you some feed”.

His words clearly associate rainfall with greenery and life.

On Friday, many of the areas devastated by the bushfires saw a strong downpour, for the second time, as Australia’s drought-stricken east coast finally experienced a rebirth after those bushfires.

After the many months of drought, the first major rain fell on Thursday, many parts of Victoria and even a wide area of New South Wales were drenched where 32 active fires had been extinguished due to bush fires.

With the heaviest rainfall predicted for regions around Sydney, the NSW mid-north coast and Brisbane there are also some serious concerns as well.

This is a blessing for firefighters, as it’s going to offer them some much-needed hope.

But there are Concerns about the rainy weather which may lead to severe flooding and landslides and contaminate the water with ash and debris.
