A woman has revealed that she accidentally ruined his brother’s engagement after she told his girlfriend that he already has four children.
The unnamed woman took to Reddit and revealed that she has lived with her brother, Jamie, for several years.
She said that she’s seen her brother with different women but now, at the age of 28, he has four kids – a daughter, 10; twin boys, 4; and another son, 8.
The woman revealed that her brother rarely sees his children but doesn’t visit his 8-year-old son at all.
“He calls the ones he has ‘accidents’ and has said before that he wishes he hadn’t had them because he gets irritated when their mothers call him,” she revealed.
A few years ago, Jamie met a woman named Natalie and they soon moved into their apartment. He just proposed to Natalie a few weeks ago and everything was going well until the woman accidentally revealed his ‘secret.’
While the three of them were drinking, Natalie said she wanted to have many children and mentioned how Jamie would be a great father.
The woman laughed and said: “He hasn’t been the best dad to the four he has now.”
That’s when she realized that Natalie had no idea about her brother’s kids.
“My brother was drunk and started yelling so I called a friend and left,” she continued. “I stayed away a day or two and he blew up my phone. I guess he and Natalie are fighting horribly and he blamed me for it.
“I ruined his engagement and I’m an [a**hole] for telling her as it ‘should’ve been his choice to tell her about the kids’. Our parents agree with him and haven’t been talking to me.”
One Reddit user commented: “He ruined his own engagement by lying and leading this poor woman on. I hope she runs far from [original poster’s] brother.”
Another said: “It’s been three years! If he hasn’t told her by now, then he did not plan on telling her. He’s withholding a huge piece of information from her by not telling her he has four kids.”
