Rihanna, 34, compared the early months of motherhood to ‘tripping on acid every day’ after she and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first baby earlier this year.
The nine-time Grammy winner has shared her experiences as a first-time mom and admitted that ‘motherhood is a whole other beast.’
She also agreed that “life starts over when you become a parent, it’s life that you’ve never known before.”
The Umbrella hitmaker went on:” The beginning is like your tripping acid every day. It’s wild, trippy as hell.”
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Rihanna continued: “You look at him and he’s yours but he’s a stranger and you’re learning him as he’s learning you and learning the world.
“When he looks at me in my eyes, my whole soul…I can’t tell if it’s cold or hot.”
Sharing how becoming parents has affected her relationship with A$AP Rocky, the Diamonds songstress revealed how amazing it was to have a strong friendship as the center of their family.
“I really love it,” she added.
The pair have been romantically linked for two years after being friends for several years. It was in January 2020 when news that the singer was dating the Savage x Fenty designer broke after she broke up with Hassan Jameel.
In January this year, the couple announced their pregnancy when they both stepped out in Harlem, NYC, where Rocky grew up.
Rihanna proudly showed off her tummy as she sported a hot pink jacket pulled back to reveal her growing baby bump.
She also told Vogue in May that being pregnant didn’t slow her down.
“None of the dials are turned down. I think I even say yes to more now because I know it will be different on the other side of this. At first I expected some magical change, but really I remain who I am,” she expressed.
