A 30-year-old woman who is six inches taller than her husband has shared how they have no problems with their relationship, except for the weird remarks from strangers.
Jesika from Arizona stands at 5ft 7inc while her husband Hunter is 5ft 1in.
She said that they met two years ago and even though they were both ‘shocked’ at their height difference, she fell madly in love with her husband-to-be only days after meeting him.
“The first time meeting Hunter was a little bit of a shock but I knew he was much shorter and I obviously didn’t mind,” she said.
The two tied the knot in February 2020 and have been sharing their marriage life on TikTok, where they have more than 58,000 followers.
Jesika, who also revealed that she is the ‘big spoon’ in bed, said that they often hear jokes and weird comments from strangers but insisted that their heigh difference doesn’t matter to them.
“We’ve gotten comments asking if he’s my son or ‘if I need a real man’. I’m barely taller than average for a female,” she said.
“But some of the worst come from men who they think they’d be a better partner for me, telling me they could please me better or be what I need.
“It’s not their relationship and it doesn’t concern them. We’re happy and that’s all that matters.”
Hunter also said: “The most common (remarks) is just any jokes about my height. If you make jokes about someone’s weight, it’s terrible and of course it is.
“But everyone feels like it’s OK to make fun of height like it’s no big deal I’ve lived like this for my entire life.
“All of the people I’ve dated before have been much taller than me, so it’s never bothered me.
“I’ve just always been more concerned about how the other person feels about it.”
In addition to rude remarks, many people also make assumptions about their s*x life.
“Aren’t we all the same lying down? In fact, some positions are a lot easier with Hunter being short. Honestly, it’s probably the best s*x I’ve ever had,” Jesika shared.
The couple hope that sharing their life will help raise awareness on relationships with huge height difference.
“As a 5’7 man I’ve always adored taller women. Couple goals!!!” one person wrote.
