A mother has been slammed online for her ‘unreasonable’ list of demands for a babysitter who would look after her four children.
Tammy advertised the job for $6 an hour and listed out the criteria but people were quick to criticize her for requiring a Master’s degree.
In her ad, the mother explained that she needed someone to watch her four young children ages 2, 3, 5, and 7 from noon to 6 p.m.
While some of her demands were seasonable, such as ‘Must be a great cook and avid cleaner’ and ‘No drinking, no smoking and no vaping,’ Tammy explained that she wanted someone who has no social media accounts and no tattoos or piercings
She also warned that a background check and drug test would be conducted, adding that the babysitter would need five professional references.
“This job pays $200 a week – but you must have your own transportation to get to and from the house while also running my errands,” she wrote.
People who read her ad were shocked by her demands, with one person commenting: “Does Tammy have a Master’s degree – or is she just pulling this out of thin air?”
Another wrote: “I wouldn’t do that for $200 a day. You’re never going to find a single human that falls under those qualifications. Even a nun wouldn’t have five professional references or agree to a drug test.”
A third said: “I hope this is some kind of joke – the audacity is unbelievable.”
Someone else added: “Not even Mary Poppins fits this list. Ridiculous.”
